Guntramsdorf-2030: dialogue and development

The “Guntramsdorf_2030” project is designed to shape our shared living environment with a view to the future. Its aim is to safeguard quality of life for all generations and to foster a vibrant, sustainable community. Through close collaboration between the local authority, politicians and residents, social cohesion is at the heart of sustainable and transparent community development.

The 1st Guntramsdorf Climate Conference

The first climate conference, organised by the market town of Guntramsdorf in cooperation with the parish of Neu-Guntramsdorf, marks the starting point for increased citizen participation in environmental protection. Based on a survey with around 70 participants, concrete measures for a more climate-friendly Guntramsdorf were developed.

Central projects for 2026

Four core projects were defined during the conference and are now being examined for their implementation:

  • Safe cycle paths: Optimisation of intersections through level crossings.

  • Repair Café: Establishment of a local initiative to conserve resources.

  • Ökologische Begegnungsparks: Greening of areas such as the cemetery meadow or at the BORG with trees and benches.

  • Desealing: Stop new sealing and removal of asphalt surfaces.

Further action

The specialist departments and relevant committees are currently examining the financial and practical feasibility of these projects. Any further suggestions from citizens will be incorporated into the municipality's long-term climate strategy.</p

Partners in village and urban regeneration

Urban regeneration pursues a holistic approach that combines social, economic, cultural and ecological aspects. With the involvement of the population, the aim is to continuously improve the quality of life and conserve resources in the environment.</p
