Socially differentiated funding for afternoon care

The market town of Guntramsdorf supports parents and carers by subsidising the costs of afternoon childcare at local educational establishments.

Eligibility requirements

  • Residence: At least one parent and the child to be cared for have their main residence in Guntramsdorf.

  • Employment: The legal guardians are employed.

  • Attendance time: The child attends an educational institution in Guntramsdorf from 13:00 o'clock.

Notes on the period

  • An application is only possible for the current school or kindergarten year (September to June).

  • Funding is not available for afternoon care during school holidays.

  • There is no legal entitlement to this funding.

Amount of the subsidy

The social graduation of the subsidy rates is based on net family income.
Subsidy rates according to family income (social graduation): The calculation is based on the poverty risk threshold published by the Austrian Network against Poverty and Social Exclusion (www.armutskonferenz.at) in the respective previous year (60% of the median income) plus 30%.

Depending on income, the subsidy amounts to 10 %, 20 %, 30 % or 40 % of the total costs.
For each additional child in the household, the relevant income limit increases by currently €550 .

Definition of family income

Family income is the sum of all monthly net income of the members living in the household. This includes, among other things:

  • Salaries and wages

  • Family allowance (child benefit) and childcare allowance (AMS)

  • Alimony and maintenance payments

  • Pensions, unemployment benefits and unemployment assistance

  • Care allowance and minimum income

  • Family bonus, housing benefit and rent subsidy

  • Other income (e.g. rental income or tenants' income)

  • <li e.g. lease income or rental income)

Proof of income

Corresponding supporting documents must be submitted for the application:

  • Employed persons: Current proof of income and bank statements for the last three months.

  • Self-employed persons: Income tax assessment of the last assessed calendar year. If you are also employed, proof of income and bank statements for the last three months are also required.

Proof of the need for care

In order to receive the subsidy, the need for afternoon care must be proven by a confirmation of employment of all persons obliged to provide care.

The market town of Guntramsdorf must be informed immediately in writing of any changes to personal or financial circumstances that may affect the subsidy.

Application

The application is made via the official application form of the market town of Guntramsdorf.

  • Procedure: The form must be completed in full, signed and submitted together with the required enclosures to the Head of Education at the municipal office.

  • Time: An application can be submitted at any time.

  • Repayment: Subsidies received on the basis of incorrect information must be repaid immediately upon request by the municipality.

Payment of the grant

Payment is made retrospectively for the entire school or kindergarten year following a positive review.

  • Time: The transfer will be made in June at the end of the current childcare year.

  • Prerequisite: All outstanding claims against the municipality must have been settled by this time.
