Registration of a newborn

Ideally, a newborn child should be registered within one to two weeks of birth. A prerequisite for registration is that the relevant registry office has already issued the birth certificate.

Required documents

To register at the local council office, please bring the following documents:

  • The child’s birth certificate
  • Fully completed registration form
