Our initiatives for the environment & climate

Guntramsdorf has been a proud member of the Climate Alliance since 2004. We are actively committed to climate protection and continuously implement local action programmes to reduce emissions.</p

The region is preparing for the future. Since 2024, we have been developing concrete concepts as part of the KLAR! programme to adapt Guntramsdorf to the changes caused by climate change in the best possible way.</p

As a certified municipality, we maintain our parks and playgrounds without the use of synthetic chemicals or peat. This protects our biodiversity and ensures a healthy environment.</p

We reduce consumption through consistent monitoring. The aim is to efficiently manage all municipal buildings in order to sustainably reduce both costs and CO2 emissions.</p

The Eichkogel is a valuable habitat for rare species. Together with experts from the Eichkogel district, we ensure the preservation of this unique landscape through regular assessments.</p
